Itinerary:
In 1967 to celebrate Canada's 100th birthday the Alpine Club of Canada organized what they called YACE (Yukon Alpine Centennial Expedition). The expedition was a huge undertaking and had three parts: The first was an ascent of Good Neighbour Peak on the Alaska Yukon Border by 4 Canadian climbers and 4 American climbers; the second part was first ascents by 4 person teams chosen from across Canada,of 13 peaks named after all the provinces and territories and one more peak called Centennial Peak and the third part of the expedition was a General Mountaineering Camp along the edge of the Steele Glacier (with 200 people attending). The whole expedition was a great success, with no injuries and many new routes and first ascents completed. To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of YACE the Alpine Club of Canada commissioned Chic Scott and Glen Crawford to make a film of the expedition.
